Chint Solar is developing and realizing its first Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Germany. Located in Weißenfels, Saxony-Anhalt, the project has a capacity of 40 MWh / 12 MW and marks an important milestone in the company’s expansion towards integrated renewable energy solutions.
The battery storage system supports grid stability and enables a more efficient integration of renewable energy into the power system. Due to its proximity to a substation, the site offers optimal conditions for grid integration and reliable operation. A second project phase is planned for 2027, which will further expand the storage capacity at the site.
