Meet Marius Almasan, our Lead Construction Manager, who works across multiple countries to make sure our solar projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. In this interview, he shares how he supports construction teams on the ground, what challenges he helps navigate behind the scenes and how his work connects directly to our mission of energizing people.
What are you most proud of in your work?
Honestly, I’m proud of the journey: starting out in the field 15 years ago, from distributing materials on site to connecting cables, later a site manager, and now having the chance to lead and support site managers across several projects. I’ve been in their shoes, so I know how tough the job can be. Helping them succeed, stay on track and grow in their roles is something that really means a lot to me.
Part of that is also making sure that construction quality and safety standards are met on every site, which takes constant attention and coordination.
What do you enjoy most about working at Chint Solar?
I really enjoy the trust I’ve been given. Chint allows me to take responsibility, make decisions, and support the people doing the hard work on site.
It’s also a great place to work with different cultures and teams. There’s always something to learn from every project and every person. Being in the position to coordinate between departments, from engineering to HR and align everyone’s efforts is something I find very rewarding.

How do you contribute to Chint Solar’s mission to energize people?
For me, energizing people means more than just supporting our internal team: it’s about being part of something bigger. By helping site managers deliver high-quality solar projects efficiently and on time, I’m helping ensure that clean, sustainable energy reaches more communities.
This includes preparing the project documentation upfront, from technical plans to safety requirements, so that the construction teams are set up for success from day one. Even though I’m not physically on the sites every day anymore, like I have been as site manager, my role is still closely tied to execution. I work behind the scenes to make sure teams have what they need.
It’s rewarding to know that the work we do has a direct link to energizing people’s lives, both through renewable power and by driving positive changes in the energy sector.
What challenges do you tackle in your role?
My day is full of balancing different needs from different sites. Each project has its own challenges and my role is to make sure the site managers have what they need without being overwhelmed. Whether it’s handling planning, helping with local issues or just being a sound board, I’m constantly adapting and trying to keep things moving smoothly.
What excites you most about your work?
What keeps me going is seeing progress: not just in the projects, but in the people. When a site manager solves a tough problem or delivers a milestone and I know I’ve played even a small part in supporting that, it’s a great feeling.
Plus, no two days are the same, which really makes things interesting. My day-to-day varies between hands-on site visits, where I coordinate directly with subcontractors and teams and remote work focusing on improving processes, documentation as well as ensuring all departments stay aligned. This mix keeps my work dynamic and rewarding.
